White with 1 - June Challenge - Elisa Ablett

Hi Elisa here with the last challenge I could squeeze in before June 30th, last but not least - White with 1 challenge Blog. I saw this month's colour and did a mental 'fist pump' oh yeah love the colour blue and all shades surrounding blue. I thought of a photo I took of 3 gorgeous pelican's (whom my 6 year old thought were from Storm Boy) Mr Percival indeed :-) and the layout came together from that. The frame I stamped with a compass stamp and I embossed it for texture and bling. The background was created with an inkpad watered down and painted onto modelling paste through a stencil. I also randomly embossed onto the background to create further texture and bling. The shells were die cut then roughly coloured with a stamp pad.

The challenge Colour for June is Biscay Bay! A shade of blue - my favourite colour :-)

Show us your Stuff June Challenge - Elisa Ablett

Hi Elisa here again, running a bit late but just made it by a few hours :-) OOOOOH did I love this mood board from Show us your Stuff! Gorgeous rainbow colours, butterflies, sheet music and little bit of bling. Ive always wanted to try a rainbow tie-dyed effect on a layout and I loved how it turned out using distress stains. My hand made embellishment is the crochet heart from D-lish Scraps.

Scrapbookingtop50oz June Challenge - Elisa Ablett

Wowwee!! just scraped in with my layout for the June Challenge over on the Scrapbookingtop50oz blog. I loved this challenge, the colours are so bright and fun, perfect primary colours for those toddler photos of my baby boy. I took the squares/grid pattern from the floor rug from the mood board and used that on my layout in a unique way. I hand cut red hearts from a felt sheet that I found in my craft stash and the background was created using a stencil with small ink pads. In a grid pattern of course!! :-)

June KraftPlus Challenge - Elisa Ablett

Hi Elisa here again with my entry into the June Kraft Plus Challenge, I think you can tell by now that I love Kraft Plus Challenges, when I saw this month's challenge I thought of all the lovely photos I had from our trip to the Dubbo Zoo. That camping trip to Dubbo and Canberra is our favourite family trip so far!
One day I will put all our photos into an album :-)

Check out Kraft Plus Challenges here - kraftpluschallenges.blogspot.com.au/

I certainly had fun with this challenge, the background was created with distress stains, gold paint, black ink  and black embossing powder and Kaisercraft's new cheetah and zebra texture stamps.

With the 3 frames I painted one with gold paint then embossed with black distress embossing powder using the cheetah stamp, the second frame with stamped using the zebra stamp and the third is covered with tiger print felt that I found at spotlight.

One of my favourite things about this layout are the glass buttons that I found and using the twine.

Here are some close ups of the felt frame and embossed frame.

Thank you so  much for dropping by the blog. Please use the link to have a look at the Kraft Plus Challenge Blog, love that place!!

Let's Get Sketchy - June Week 3

Team A

Hi Elisa here again with my layout created for the Design Team for Lets Get Sketchy. Just lately I have noticed that i seem to love flipping my sketches around a bit and this one is no different. To complete this layout I used the remnants of Two kits - One from a kit club in Australia called Scrappy Canary and the other from Australian Embellishment Kit Club called D-Lish Scraps, the background I used Metallic Watercolour paints from Semco and texture stamps from Kaisercraft. Come join us over on Lets Get Sketchy for next week's challenge, another great sketch and Design Team reveal.
