'Stronger' - Mixed Media Tag by Elisa Ablett

 Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team for Visible Image with a bright mixed media tag.

The background was created using a distress tool, smoothing the black ink through the new
'take my hand' stencil over your painted background.

I have also added touches of primary elements - Gold Mica powder to the distress tool and smoothed the mica powder over edges and some parts of the painted area of the tag.

I have also stamped and coloured in the eye and then punched it out with a circle punch
and then used 3d foam mounting tape to mount the eye over part of the hand.

Stamp and colour your title 'Stronger' with mica powder and then add to your tag.

'Her Spirit Was Strong' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team of Visible Image with my latest mixed media project for you.

A mixed media tag featuring a couple of Visible Image's background stamps - the new awesome Fibonacci and De-Stressed.

To create the tag, I started with a heavy base chipboard tag from 2Crafty Chipboard, perfect substrate for a mixed media tag. Next came a background of gesso'd old book paper, torn and distressed.

I then stamped my feature dragon flies ( https://visibleimage.co.uk/product/live-in-the-moment/), hand coloured with a bit of the gorgeous teal dylusions shimmer spray and then fussy cut them out and 3d mounted them over my background.

I loved using the Cosmic Skies Stencil to create a small and subtle amount of texture for my background. I used a white modelling paste as I find that it doesn't soak up colour as much as other mediums leaving you with bright colour!

'Use your wings' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Crafters !

Elisa here from the design team for Visible Image with my latest project.

I wanted to create a whimsical mixed media board using the gorgeous 'Believe in Unicorns' and 'Angels are Near' stamp sets from Visible Image.

I used Distress Oxide ink pads to create a chalky oxide background for my moonscape and I hand dyed the gauze to create a textured 'grass'.

To create the fairy wings I used Dina Wakely Scribble Sticks directly onto the stamps and spritzed with water! and then once dry I then stamped again over the top with a different colour.

Here are some close ups for the finer details.

'Glimmer of Light' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Welcome to March with the Visible Image design team and blog.

I am up on the blog today with a mixed media canvas made with the backing board from an old paper pad, I love to repurpose items when i get a chance.

I loved the look of this stamp set when I first saw it, so versatile and a little bit grungy for those art journal pages and canvases and a fantastic verse to use as well.

To create the stamped moths I used Dina Wakely scribble sticks rubbed directly onto the stamp and spritzed with water and then stamped on watercolour cardstock. I added a darker colour over the top to add dimension and then once dried, I added highlights with Glossy Accents. I get a fantastic impression with Visible Image stamps each and every time.

The background was created using beautiful Turquoise and Gold Metallic Wax from Finnabair. The Gold wax was rubbed through the Strobe Stencil to create rays of light behind the light bulb.

A friend gave me a few pieces of black cardstock that had been embossed with a 3D hexagon pattern, I fussy cut them up and stuck them to my background which i had painted black. Then i rubbed the turquoise wax all over the background and added the Strobe Stencil along with Gold Wax.

I wanted to show you the amazing colour you can get from a few coats of the waxes when they hit the sunlight! look at that blue, just gorgeous.  Makes those stamps pop!

Here are the Visible Image stamps that i utilised for this project.

Well that's it from me today, thanks for stopping by the blog :-)

Hugs xx

I stamped on acetate plastic to get a transparent affect on the main elements.

'Just Be Happy' By Elisa Ablett

Hi Crafters,

Another New Reveal from Visible Image!!

'Elemental' and 'Create your Calm'

I have another project up on the Visible Image blog today featuring the amazing new stamps which are being revealed day by day this week.

I have created a mixed media scrapbooking page using the 'Organics' and 'Elemental'
stamp sets. The Organics stamp set I stamped onto Acetate with Staz On ink to create visual interest on my background.

With the Elemental stamp set I stamped over the background and hand coloured some of the circle elements.

Both of theses Stamp Sets are so versatile, great for creating backgrounds on cards and scrapbooking pages and also with mixed media projects. These stamp sets will be 'must haves' in your collection.

Here is my off the page mixed media project made with the stamp set:-

I wanted to build a 3D garden setting for the stamp so I gesso'd one of the fabulous Visible Image Monoliths and then added my layers of colour, starting from the bottom with a lovely Copper Metallic Paint from Cadence and at the top a vibrant lime green metallic ink from Daler-Rowney.

I added a little texture by using copper paint over the top of the Strobe Stencil from Visible Image. I wanted to make the area under the stamped images look like rays from the sun.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, make sure you stay tuned for the new stamps released!
