Adventure || by Elisa Ablett

Hi Flutterby Fans,

Elisa here from the design team with my latest layout,
a bright and fun boy layout featuring the new Flutterby Designs Art Foamies stamps.

I absolutely love these big foam stamps, so easy to use with paint or inks and stamp wonderfully over the top of Flutter Colour Paint.

Products used from the Shop:

Let's check out the close ups!

Art foamies stamping in the background and circles punched from the Happily Ever After  Everyday Filler Cards lead your eye down the page to the photo.

Frame your photo with a small polaroid frame painted and stamped with the Art Foamies Stamps, the possibilities are endless.

I hand stamped the long title and adhered it down the page.

Staples are a great way to add grunge to a boy page and also great for adhering strips of chipboard.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, make sure you catch me next time for a feminine layout using layering !

Hugs

Magical || By Elisa Ablett for 2Crafty Chipboard

Hi friends,

Elisa here with my last layout for 2Crafty Chipboard, but this doesn't mean you won't see me around Facebook, Instagram and in groups so please make sure you still say hi and keep following me with my new endeavours.

I cannot thank Vanessa and Di enough for such a fabulous opportunity to be a part of a super talented team and lovely bunch of designers and I will miss them and hopefully one day I can apply to the team again.

For my last layout I decided to break open my Oxide Inkpads for the background and also see if I could incorporate them to cover chipboard as well.

The 2Crafty products used in this layout -

Circle Stack
ATC Mini Hearts and Stars
Wildflower Set
Filmstrip
Fine Words 2

Let's take a closer look at the chipboard used in this layout -

For the title 'Magical' I heat embossed with a white glitter embossing powder
and the film strip was inked with black ink to make the title pop out !

I love how the 'Wildflower set' turned out, it was completely a happy accident, I inked the chipboard with an embossing liquid but for some reason it wasn't that tacky and only some of the black embossing powder stuck to the pieces. So I had a thought of adding some of the Oxide Colours from the background to cover the parts of the chipboard that had a small amount or no embossing powder on it. The colours of the Oxides remained so vibrant and bright on raw chipboard and I really liked the colourful distressed look.

I also inked the circle chipboard and heat embossed with black glossy embossing powder and lastly the Mini ATC Stars, I coloured with a gold glitter watercolour pen just to add that sparkle. I also added some gold splatters to the background.

'Dream' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Thanks for stopping by the 2Crafty blog today.

I have another mixed media girl layout to share with you today.

The photo is of my great niece, a gorgeous gal with loads of personality and big dreams.

I wanted to create a mixed media layout brimming with pastel colours and soft flowers.

I also love a bit of bohemian style to my layouts and the stencil work combined with the flowers, butterflies and gorgeous turkish lanterns worked together beautifully!

I must say the colour combo of berry, blues and turquoise has got to be a new favourite of mine.

I love a good design swatch and this one comes from Design-Seeds.

The Chipboard featured in the layout from 2Crafty include the following (links provided): -

Lets take a closer look at what techniques I used to alter my chipboard for the layout:

For my title and in keeping with the boho style,
I painted my title bright white and added an offcut of lace and machine stitching
using berry coloured thread underneath.
I also added the stitching to my coloured die cut butterfly embellishment.

The Turkish Lanterns are gorgeous!
I heat embossed them with Berry coloured embossing powder,
then I painted the chain and selected bits with a black Posca paint pen.
The backing paper is an off cut of water colour paper sprayed with the turquoise spray
and then fussy cut and glued to fit the back of the lanterns.

I selected a lovely Lacey Border piece and inked it with black ink, it serves as a great backing piece and border to separate my stencilled background from the white space below.

The gorgeous Rose Set of chipboard was calling my name for this layout!

To achieve this dreamy pastel look on my chipboard, I lightly gesso'd my pieces of chipboard -
Rose Set and Angie's Vines and then once dry I used a paint brush
to paint the 13 Arts Chalk Pastel Sprays in Berry and Turquoise
onto my pieces of chippie. If you wanted an even lighter shade,
water the sprays down or add a small amount of gesso.

Well that's it from me today!

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by the blog today,
please make sure you leave some love in the comments,
we do like hearing from you.

Hugs

'Create the World you want' by Elisa Ablett for Scrap Matrix

Hi Crafters,

Elisa here from the design team for Scrap Matrix with my latest layout based on the new Challenge for this month - What's the Point ? all about pointy things on your layouts this month.

This is my second layout this month using the Stamperia Blue Stars paper pack and Primary Elements Mica Powder as my main products.

No automatic alt text available.

My layout features Stars as my pointy feature.

Make sure you have a look at the website for the gorgeous stamp set #12 by Tracy Evans for Aall & Create, I utilised the star stamps from the set for my layout.

Here are some close ups of the finer details -

Start your background by adding modelling paste through your star stencil.

Then add your black water colour ink from 13 Arts plus layers of Gold Mica Powder and little bits of ochre or light brown.

A small pocket of the same in the top left hand corner. Black Ink and blue and brown splatters.

Wire makes a fabulous addition to a background, twisted around the stars (which i stamped and fussy cut out) I then foam mounted the stars.

Here are a few of the products I used from the Scrap Matrix Store -

6x6" 13 Arts Stars
