'Spread your wings and fly' by Elisa Ablett

 Hi Everyone,

Elisa here from the design team for D-lish Scraps with my latest layout showcasing the gorgeous range of goodies from the D-lish Scraps store.

I was lucky enough to win a Lindy's Stamp Gang Challenge recently and was sent a prize which included some gorgeous blues and copper colours in the lovely starburst, flat fabio and moonshot sprays, so thats where my inspiration came from. So I scoured through my extensive D-lish stash to find all things blue and copper to go with my colour scheme.

I love all things bohemian and dream catchers so I decided to make my own dream catcher with all the lovely feathers from the store.

Let's take a look at the finer details of the layout in the close ups below !

Here is a close up of some lovely copper modelling paste through the Stencil---5-x-5---Pattern-Quartet with a palette knife, creating some lovely copper bling and texture on the background.

Some more of the stencilling on the right hand side along with the wood veneer title - Wood Veneer Alphas.

The feathers were made by spraying in layers, blue spray on the bottom and copper at the ends, then a little bit of copper glitter paste on the bottom of the Chipboard feathers. Wrap the wire around to create your circle for the dream catcher and staple to your page. Then add your feathers and the 'strings' of wire to your feathers. Add some blue cotton to the mix and your centre piece.

I added some background stamping using Carabelle Studios stamps and Fiona Paltridge's stamps from Aall and Create to the background to add depth before I glued my embellishments down.

And you have a finished layout.

Well that's it from me today, make sure you leave me some love in the comments xx

'Let the Adventure Begin Today' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Just popping in to share my blog post from the Shop and Crop Scrapbooking blog from this week.

The first project that I have to show you is a 'collaborative' art journal page that a few of the design team and myself completed at the Brisbane Expo. Each team member had their turn at adding a layer to the page, at this stage we don't know what quote or title we should finish our project with....perhaps you might have some suggestions for us.

Here are some close ups of the finer details and products -

Products used : Lindy's Magical Shakers, Carabelle Stamps, Kaisercraft Mandala Stencil, Gel Medium, Kaisercraft Script stamp, Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and other assorted products.

Here are a couple of pics of our collaborative team putting the journal page together at the Brisbane Expo - myself, Tanya Froud and Heidi Williams.

Background stamping is a Prima Ink and Layer Floral Stamp!

'So many reasons to Smile' by Elisa Ablett for D-lish Scraps

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team of D-lish Scraps with my latest layout - a colourful boy mixed media layout.

I started out with adding some background colour to my page using Lindy's Stamp Gang magicals in two of my favourite colours Teal and Green. Then I added the most gorgeous of teal glitter tape and washi tape to the top edge of my page and along the bottom of my page as well.

Add some teal punchinella and frame, shaker star and wood veneer from a past 'Just Add Paper Kit' and layer under and around your photo along with a gorgeously dotty 'Journal It - Sassy Spot'.

Make sure you stop by the shop to check out the specials in the Past Kits Bits 50 %-OFF section, a few great bargains.

To balance your page design out - add some colour and washi tape and few of your desired elements to the bottom right of your page.

Here are some close ups of the finer details! I must admit I am in love with that teal glitter tape.

One of my favourite D-lish Scraps products is the Teal - Journal-Its---Ombre-Wordfetti perfect for adding a subtle and colour co-ordinating title to your page! and yes I think you can tell my favourite colour is Teal!

TIP - Staple your punchinella to your page, not only keeps the punchinella secure but adds a little bit more grunge to the page!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, make sure you leave some love 😀

'Be your beautiful Self' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Crafters,

I just wanted to share my first blog post for the Artified Design Team which happened the other day!!
............

Elisa here from the design team with my first post for the Artified blog!

I wanted to create something a little out of the box for my first post using the gorgeous Tim Holtz Layered Stencils in Floral, Roses, Ornate and Trellis AND the NEW Lindy's Stamp Gang Shakers.

I had a play around with the Shaker's to hand dye my Canvas flag and I mopped up the excess liquid with a baby wipe and was so impressed with the patterns on it and colours I decided to use the baby wipe on my project. Here is the end result!

To start my project I coloured my chipboard birds with a few coordinating Gelatos and put aside to dry.

Next step, using a craft mat spray water and tap out a little bit of colour from your Lindy's Shakers into the water - then dip your canvas flag into the water and colour and repeat until you have covered your flag in colour and patterns, Mop up the excess colour and liquid with a small piece of lace and a baby wipe and set it aside to dry - we will be using these on your project!

Next once your lace is dry attach it to your muslin by sewing or gluing if you don't have a machine. Grab a inkpad and sponge or dauber and using your Trellis stencil, dab some of the colour through your stencil onto your dried canvas flag.

Grab another stencil and repeat with a green inkpad and the Ornate stencil.

Next step - Attach your muslin to your baby wipe and distress the edges of the baby wipe until they are uneven and torn, then attach to your Canvas flag either by stitching with a machine or gluing. Then using the Floral Stencil and a palette knife spread Colour Blast paste in your chosen colour ( I used Royalty) making sure the paste covers parts of the flag, muslin and baby wipe. Carefully peel off the stencil and let dry!

Here are some close ups for all the finer details. I added my chosen saying, chipboard, flower and cotton to add a little extra colour and texture. Once the flag is complete thread a stick through the hole and wind wire around the stick to create a hanger.

'Chase your Dreams' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Crafters,
My turn up on the Shop and Crop blog today with my take on the February Tic Tac Toe challenge for Shop and Crop Scrapbooking Store.

Here is the challenge if you haven't caught it so far!

Tic Tack Toe

Pick a Line and Create ; can be vertical, horizontal or diagonal has to include items in the line (you can include other things on your layout but we must be able to see the line you picked).
Please note this isnt a colour challenge !

Click here to visit the Inspiration Group on Facebook - this is where you load your challenge entry into the February Album.

👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

NOW FOR MY DESIGN TEAM TAKE ON THE CHALLENGE

I chose the bottom line of the challenge, Watercolours, Doilies and Stencils.

I chose to complete a Mixed Media Tag using Lindy's sprays and magicals as my watercolours, a handmade doily using modelling paste (oh yes I did!) and a Dusty Attic Stencil with modelling paste. If I get enough interest I will do a tutorial making modelling paste embellies, so let me know in the comments or contact Kylie if you would like to see it happen :-)

Materials used from Shop and Crop Scrapbooking -

Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals - Yellow Rose of Texas

Lindy's Stamp Gang - Magical Set-Prairie Wildflowers

Lindy's Stamp Gang Fabio Flat Spray - Danny Zukos Denim

DANNY ZUKO'S DENIM - Fabio Flat Spray

From my stash -
Modelling Paste, Gesso, Dusty Attic Stencil, Stamps, Versafine Ink

And introducing a couple of RAW Mixed Media Tags from Memory Maze Chipboard that I helped design, which is super exciting!

These tags are heavy weight chipboard with custom made 'fancy tops' and they will withstand copious amounts of mediums. Perfect fancy ATC's or just mixed media tags.

Here they are in their RAW state, ready for artsy fartsy stuff and things 😝

Plenty more designs available with more on the way. If you want to get your hands on these beauties, contact Kylie at Shop and Crop for a special customer order.

That's it from me today,

If you haven't already, make sure you have a go at this month's challenge, pick a line, complete your layout and head over to the facebook page and link it up!

Also don't forget there is a Design Team Callout for Shop and Crop at the moment as well.

Hugs
