'Creative People colour outside the Lines' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Elisa here again with my latest project for the Visible Image design team, a colourful and vibrant Art Journal spread featuring a background created with a Gel Press monoprinting plate and acrylic paint.

I used the fabulous Fibres stencil with the Gel Press plate to create a textured multi-coloured look. I placed it over my gelli plate and sponged a baby wipe over it to take some of the colour off and it produced this gorgeous patterns in my background.

I then stamped the Face -It stamp on the right hand side of my page and addes some white highlights using a white paint pen.

Add your title by stamping your Outside the lines stamp onto scrap paper ( I used a practise piece from my gelli plate adventures) to go with your page.

Cut out your title and mount onto your collaged pieces of paper on the left hand side.

Add some highlights to make your stamps stand out from your background!

Here are the products I used from the Visible Image Store -

That's it from me today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing how you can incorporate mixed media techniques such as monoprinting with your stamps!! make your stamp stash go further !

Hugs

Elisa xx

My first design team post for Visible Image !

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team with my first post representing Visible Image , this is so exciting for me, it's a dream team with the most exciting arty stamps and stencils!

For my first post and in keeping with the November 'make a tag' challenge theme over at Visible Image Facebook Group , I created the following tags.

For my first tag - I wanted to create a bold and vibrant mixed media tag using colourful and exciting mediums including Pebeo Metallic Paints and Colour Crush Powders from Tinby Designs and of course some lovely stamps from the Visible Image (Just be Happy and The Ripple Effect - Stamp Sets

and a discontinued stamp set.

For my second 'tag' (which is more like an ATC) I went a little darker in both the tone and mood of the project. The background is on a thick black cardstock as my base, I then layered Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in Antique Linen and Frayed Burlap plus Blueberry Colour Crush Powder from Tinby Designs.

Next step was to use the fabulous Visible Image - Fibres Stencil along with some Colour Blast Bling Paste to add some texture.

I then stamped and fussy cut the main feature - the Skeleton from Mr Bone Jangles stamp set and using 3D mounting tape for depth.

That's it from me today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing how you can utilise your Visible Image stamps with mixed media projects!
