Hi everyone,
My turn to share inspiration for Ink Art Designs today with a very blingy art journal page!
I love working with shapes in my art journal and my favourite of all shapes is the circle.
For this page I cut a circle from a piece of Art by Marlene Collage paper and stuck it to my page. I then stenciled in black ink around the edges and painted the rest of the page with black gesso.
I love using Staz on Ink when stamping on Acetate, be gentle and don't stamp with too much force as this smudges your image. Let the image dry before moving it, sticking it or using it lol
Add some yellow ink and pink paint pen around the circle and once dry, scribble around in wild circles with a black fine tip marker.
Now my trick to easy foiling without a fancy expensive machine, use a simple glue stick - go around and around the circle with the glue stick, a line layer of glue will do. Then using tweezers lay your foil sheet or foil flakes over the glued area, wait til dry then use a stiff hog bristle brush and dab vigorously with the brush over the foil area distressing the foil giving a patchy affect. ( I like to call this Elisa's distressed foiling on the cheap) works a treat and looks great.
Here is a close up of my project.

'Elisa's distressed foiling on the cheap' sounds, and looks, fantastic and is a technique that I would love to give a try! I love your tips Elisa, it is a great page.
