Background - Inked Leaf Technique

Hi Everyone!!

Here is the promised Background Technique photo tutorial.

1. Gather together desired leaves from the garden and your selected ink pads and baby wipes.

2.  Ink up your under side of your leaves, generally the under side is more textural and makes for a better print.

3. Gently place the leaves in the desired position and using your baby wipe inked with a lighter colour ( I used green distress ink) gently press and wipe over the top of the leaves. You'll get a gorgeous print of the leaf and bonus background colour as well.

4. Here is the finished result.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed the tutorial.

Scrap the Girls - November Challenge

Happy Tuesday Crafters,

Just sharing another layout I created for the latest Scrap the Girls Blog Challenge. I loved the latest challenge, a gorgeous sketch. I used a paper collection from My Mind's Eye called Cut and Paste and of course WOW Chipboard and Altamatz.

Some close up's of the embossed chipboard and background embossed flourish stamps.

A close up of the spray ink background using the word Altamatz 'Love' and metallic water colours from Semco.

White with One - November

Hi back again :-)

Just sharing my layout for the November White with One Challenge,

The colour from the challenge is Grape, such a pretty colour, so I had a bit of fun with this one.

I remember that I had a grape 'Magicals' from Lindy's Stamp Gang and thought it was perfect for this challenge. I used a few gorgeous chipboard pieces and stencils from WOW Words or Whatever.

Neverending Card Tutorial for Turtle Soup Forum

Hi everyone,

Here is the Neverending Card I made for the Tuesday Tips, Techniques, Tutorial's over on the Turtle Soup Forum.

I came across this tutorial on my facebook feed and gives very clear instructions on how to make this Neverending Card. Now I don't make cards very often so I was totally amazed by this and just had to try it....im sure you seasoned card makers may have already tried this card and if that's the case show us how you make yours.

Here is the link for the tutorial on Youtube. I did notice she amended the measurements, so to make it clear for every measurement of 1 1/8 inch amend it to 1 3/8 inch instead.

and here is the link to the card that I made for my Mum's 70th.
