First 2Crafty Chipboard Design Team Post

 MY FIRST 2CRAFTY POST!!!!

"Adore You"

Hi there 2Crafty friends !

Elisa here from the design team with my first post and inspiration as part of this fabulous team.

Here is a list of the 2Crafty products used -
Morrocan Bits
Sharon's Butterflies
Adore You Title
Film Strip medium

For the title - Adore You, I heat embossed it with Colour Blast Black Charcoal Embossing Powder

To add some texture to my background, I added the Morrocan Bits, heat embossed with Colour Blast Royalty Embossing Powder. I also added a couple of pieces to the top left and bottom right clusters of my layout.

Another great technique to cover chipboard is to ink your pieces with an inkpad and sponge dauber.

I love a chipboard film strip piece to add a vertical line to your layout. I heat embossed the film strip with Colour Blast Black Charcoal Embossing Powder. I find the Ranger embossing liquid dabber excellent in covering large pieces of chipboard.

To create my background, I stamped with a Prima Marketing Inc flower stamp and handpainted with water colour paints and a fine round paintbrush.

I also stencilled with black modelling paste through a new Aga Baraniak stencil.

My second layout for this month is titled

'' Shine ''

Here is the list of 2Crafty products used -
Chevrons
Fine Words 2
Star Frames
Stars

I painted a few of the stars and chevrons with a lovely buttercream coloured paint from Ceramcoat.  I also inked a few of the stars with black ink.

Once I inked a few of the stars and star frames with black ink, I used a quick and cheap foiling technique that I discovered using a bostik glue stick, foil sheets and a large stiff paintbrush. It creates a lovely distressed look to your foiling.

I painted the title chipboard piece very carefully as its quite fine, while it was drying and pliable, I molded it around the large star frame.

I created the large background circle with my 8 inch circle gel plate and combination of a navy and buttercream paint. I also added some black ink around the edges of the circle and some stencilling.

I have a favourite technique at the moment which is adding scribbly writing around my frames.

I hope you have enjoyed looking through my first post, I know I feel incredibly honoured to be offered a position on this team full of so many talented people working with amazing products.

Make sure you leave me some love xx

'Create your own Calm' by Elisa Ablett

Hi Visible Image lovers,

My turn up on the blog today with my latest layout showcasing a number of new stamp sets and stencil from https://visibleimage.co.uk/.

One of my favourite design techniques is to use frames on my layouts, squares, circles, flowers ...well you get the picture.

For this layout I used a square to contain my background, which features stamping using colourful inks. The Visible Image stamp set - Organics was perfect for this technique.

I also love using stamping on acetate as a technique, using Staz On ink, you can stamp and fussy cut images to go with your themed background. In my layout, i used the Create and Calm seahorse on acetate to add a feature stamping piece to my layout.

Its perfect to use on layouts as you get to see your background through your embellishment.

Here are some close ups of my stamping using the Visible Image products -

#youmyloveareawesome by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team for Scrap Matrix with my latest layout based on the current April Challenge - a double moodboard (Monochromatic and pick a line from the Tic Tac Toe Board).

I chose to do a mixed media layout using shades of Turquoise AND stamps, a large title and German Scrap from the Scrap Matrix Store. Now if you know me I LOVE turquoise, teal and blue on my layouts, there are a lot of different mediums in the store - Sprays, inks, crayons etc. I used a combination of two 13 arts products including Ayeeda Water Ink and Turquoise Chalk spray

Here is the challenge link in the group, head on over to have a look and please place your entries, we love seeing your work!

Here is my layout -

As you can see the title is huge! it is fussy cut from the Pink Fresh Boys Fort paper (bold) collection and high lighted by a white gel pen. I also fussy cut some of the triangles from the Boys Fort (thumbs up) paper.

Here are some close ups -

'Her Spirit Was Strong' by Elisa Ablett

Hi everyone,

Elisa here from the design team of Visible Image with my latest mixed media project for you.

A mixed media tag featuring a couple of Visible Image's background stamps - the new awesome Fibonacci and De-Stressed.

To create the tag, I started with a heavy base chipboard tag from 2Crafty Chipboard, perfect substrate for a mixed media tag. Next came a background of gesso'd old book paper, torn and distressed.

I then stamped my feature dragon flies ( https://visibleimage.co.uk/product/live-in-the-moment/), hand coloured with a bit of the gorgeous teal dylusions shimmer spray and then fussy cut them out and 3d mounted them over my background.

I loved using the Cosmic Skies Stencil to create a small and subtle amount of texture for my background. I used a white modelling paste as I find that it doesn't soak up colour as much as other mediums leaving you with bright colour!
