Such a beautiful and colourful layout and using a photo of myself which I don't do very often (sound familiar). We used Tim Holtz distress stains, white and black gesso, kaszazz stamps of course!! We had such a lovely night with our Wednesday night craft crew.

Scrap around the World March Challenge ~ Elisa Ablett

http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.com.au
Hi Elisa here again! ive been busy crafting today trying to get this layout completed before the due date. This is my first layout for a scraparoundtheworld blog challenge, being new to the blog/challenge world of scrapbooking I have really enjoyed the inspiration, ideas and scrapping mojo that I has come to me while looking around online. This challenge blog and the inspirational mood board is exceptional, I loved creating this layout, I thought of this photo immediately after reading the quote on the mood board, 'There is sunshine in my soul today'.  The background was created by a combination of techniques including Aladine Izinks, stencils and layered stamping. I used chipboard, twine and washi tape as well. The yellow and black around the photo was intentional to make the photo pop from the blue/yellow background papers and inks. I loved the colours of the mood board and the chevrons, just perfect for the layout I had in mind. Elisa Ablett

Fancy Cupcakes ~ Scrapbook Boutique March Challenge

http://scrapbookboutiquenews.blogspot.com.au/2015/03/welcome-to-our-march-2015-challenge.htmlHi Elisa here again! When I saw the Inspirational Photo for the March Challenge I immediately thought of these photos of my youngest son and the 'Fancy' Cupcakes we regularly make together. I also thought of these cupcake stamps that i've had forever and have never used.....til now! I embossed the cupcakes and coloured them in with distress stains in the colours of the photo from the March Challenge. I tie-dyed the gauze used under the cupcakes a lovely pastel pink to match. I wanted to recreate the sprinkles from the cupcakes in my photos by using dylusions sprays in the background. Fancy!!! Elisa Ablett

Dusty Attic March Challenge - Lovely

http://dustyatticblog.blogspot.com.au/
Hi Elisa here! Love Love Love these colours, beautiful mood board so I just had to have a go at this challenge. As per the rules of the challenge I used a couple of Dusty Attic products; the 'Cherish' and corner flourish chipboard pieces. I coloured the 'Cherish' piece with an inkpad and used coloured tissue paper and gesso distressed onto the chipboard flourish piece. The background is a combination of Aladine Izinks and stencilling using sponge daubers with different coloured inkpads. The background paper is a project life resist patterned card which I coloured with Tim Holtz distress stains to match the flowers. I loved creating this layout of my niece and her adorable bub. Close some doors

http://jotmagazine.com/blog/
The mood board over at jot magazine for this month was awesome! The door picture inspired the quote (although I can't find who said it) and the because I just finished can't get good lighting -it's a bit too dark in picture :( but quite proud of how the distress, worn look came out.

Loved the pastel colours of the inspirational pic from scrapbook boutique. I love journalling but it's rare we get to admit them to challenges so thank u for this choice scrapbook boutique :) really enjoyed playing with water colours to create this affect, and used a real music sheet scored at my local vinnies (love op shopping) Hannah Smith

love you march

http://sassyscrappers1.blogspot.com.au/p/blog-page.html
Hi. Hannah here with my entry for the sassy scrapers March challenge. Really love the colours in the mood board- very inspiring! I originally had something completely different planned and gessoed the background but the colours I was spraying and masking just didn't go with the flowers And once I started on the flowers, just loved the effect and they multiplied! Very happy with the finished product though, the gesso just adds an interesting textured background (I think anyway lol).
